New York City-New Jersey Metro Financial Education Classes (click here for the 2008-2009 schedule).

The Bank offers a wide variety of FREE financial literacy classes focusing on basic banking, debt reduction, understanding credit, savings and investments. Most of the classes are offered in our branches along with various government agencies and strategic non-profit partners in the community. In addition, the Bank offers educational programs on home foreclosure prevention and resources for first time homebuyers to successfully achieve home-ownership.

Union Sponsored Programs:

DC37—The Bank provides grant support for Neighborhood Housing Services of New York City to offer home counseling and foreclosure prevention services for DC37 union members at Union headquarters in Lower Manhattan.
1199SEIU—We partner with the 1199 Benefit Funds to offer "place-based" workshops covering a range of financial literacy and wellness topics.
Local 237—The Bank sponsored an affordable housing conference on Saturday, October 18th for NYC labor in cooperation with the New York City Comptroller's Office.

Las Vegas Homeownership And Financial Empowerment Center

The Las Vegas Homeownership and Financial Empowerment Center has been established to serve the Culinary Union members and other Bank customers in the Las Vegas community with information and resources on ways to preserve and promote homeownership, reduce debt and develop sound savings plans. The purpose of the Center is to provide working class people, immigrants and small businesses with a "One Stop Shop" promoting both Bank and other community-based programs, resources, and services associated with home foreclosure prevention, first-time buyer homeownership, and MoneySense financial literacy education.
